The Alexan (Riva on the Park) Waterfront Apartments Portland, OR
In order to keep the project moving forward, Dynalectric was brought in as a design/assist contractor to work with the consultants to get the previously over-budget project back on track. We worked extensively with suppliers and subcontractors to explore engineering opportunities to present to the client.
Build the city’s first market-rate high-rise residential development to offer a mix of studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom luxury rental homes. Achieving LEED Gold Certification, the completed project features many green and sustainable features within its 316 homes, including a 25,000-square-foot eco-roof and energy-efficient lighting.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The design/assist new construction project included five electrical services, complete code minimum for fire alarm and voice evacuation system, telephone/data and access control for 22 residential stories, three levels of structured parking, and 14,000 square feet of groundfloor retail space.
Dynalectric was able to work with designers and suppliers to reduce the electrical cost of the project without compromising the quality and features of the project.
The South Waterfront District is the largest economic development project in Portland’s history. The River Blocks were the first phase of residential development within the central portion of the district, which encompasses 38 acres along the Willamette River’s west bank.
