Portland, Oregon

proj_fox.jpgDynalectric provided design-build electrical services to the core and shell of the $90 million, 797,000 square foot, 32-story high-rise building which included five underground floors, 430,000 square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of retail space, and a 10-screen movie theater.

Dynalectric installed complete fire alarm, security and HVAC control systems, an interior utility substation feeding two 5,000 amp and one 4,000 amp service, and a 1,500kw generator to supply the building in the event of a power failure through five separate sequenced ATS (automatic transfer) switches.

Project Highlights:

  • The largest one-time pour of concrete and the deepest excavation in Portland's history, taking more than 400 cement trucks over 24 hours to provide a continuous pour of concrete 65 feet below grade.

Additionally, Dynalectric designed and installed from the 4th floor to, and intertwined amongst, the buildings parking level infrastructure a high tech communications system specially equipped to support voice, video and high-speed internet traffic for building owner and 4th floor tenant Tom Moyer of Fox Tower Technologies.
